Recruitment Coordinator
Location: Bedford, Bedfordshire
Role type: Full time, permanent
Reports to: Recruitment Manager
Salary: £26,000 per year
About the role
Are you someone who enjoys keeping things organised and helping people have a great experience? We’re looking for a friendly and proactive Recruitment Coordinator to join our team at bpha. You’ll support the recruitment process from start to finish and play a big part in making sure candidates and hiring managers feel supported every step of the way.
What you’ll be doing
- Organising and booking interviews and recruitment events, keeping everyone informed along the way.
- Keeping recruitment records up to date and managing our applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Supporting onboarding, making sure checks and paperwork are completed on time.
- Answering questions from candidates and managers and providing a helpful, positive service.
- Keeping the Recruitment Manager up to date with how recruitment activity is progressing.
- Getting involved in recruitment projects and helping us improve how we do things.
What we’re looking for
We’re less focused on ticking every box and more interested in finding someone with the right attitude who’s keen to learn and grow with us. If you’re organised, proactive and enjoy supporting others, we’d love to hear from you.
- Strong, well‑evidenced admin skills and great attention to detail.
- The ability to juggle different tasks and priorities in a busy environment.
- A positive, can‑do attitude and a willingness to learn new things.
- Confident, friendly communication skills and a helpful approach.
- Experience in recruitment or HR is beneficial, but not essential.
- Confidence using systems and technology (including applicant tracking systems, or a willingness to learn).
- An understanding of confidentiality and data protection, or an interest in developing this knowledge.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths. CIPD Level 3 is desirable, but we’re happy to support you to work towards it.
Our values
At bpha, we believe in:
- Taking responsibility – doing what we say we’ll do and doing the right thing.
- Showing empathy – listening, respecting others and being supportive.
- Being better together – valuing diversity and working collaboratively.
- Being ambitious – aiming high and always looking to make a positive difference.
Why join us?
You’ll be joining a supportive and collaborative team where your contribution really matters. You’ll help shape a positive candidate experience and support better outcomes for our colleagues and customers. Some flexibility with working hours may be needed from time to time to support recruitment events.
Please note: applications will be reviewed as they come in, and we may close the advert early if we receive a high level of interest. We’d encourage you to apply as soon as possible.
